Job summary

Syncreon Consulting is seeking an experienced mainframe developer to join our financial services team. The role requires 7+ years of mainframe development with expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.

You will work on batch jobs, online processing, and data flows, while supporting production and incident resolution in a large-scale enterprise setting. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Control-M, MQ Series, Easytrieve or REXX, and strong CI/CD practices using Endevor or

Qualifications

7+ years of mainframe development experience.
Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
Hands-on experience with Control-M, MQ Series, and Easytrieve or REXX.
Strong understanding of batch processing, online transaction processing, file-based data flows, and EBCDIC data handling.
Experience with production support and incident resolution.
Experience with CI/CD practices and source control tools such as Endevor, GitLab, or similar SCM platforms.
Experience working within large-scale enterprise environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bachelor's degree required.
