CornerStone TTS seeks an experienced Mainframe Developer to join a South Carolina state project on a 6-month remote contract with US Eastern hours. You will analyze and extend a z/OS accounting platform built in Enterprise COBOL and Natural/Adabas, adding a new pooled account type with sweep logic and batch changes.

The role requires 5+ years in Enterprise COBOL, NaturalOne, JCL, and related finance-system work, plus experience with Adabas/VSAM.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Enterprise COBOL development experience in a z/OS environment
• 5+ years of Experience with NaturalOne
• 5+ years of JCL development and production support experience
• 3+ years of experience with financial/accounting systems development or support including double-entry posting, balance/accrual maintenance, value dating, reconciliation, and month-end closeouts in a regulated environment
• 3+ years of experience working with Adabas and VSAM
• 3+ years of experience with tracing undocumented logic through copybooks, call chains, and job streams

Mainframe Developer (COBOL / Natural / Adabas) - 6-Month Remote Contract (US, Eastern Hours) CornerStone TTS is looking for a Mainframe Developer (Programmer - Advanced) for a South Carolina state agency client. This is a full-time (40 hrs/week, day shift), 100% remote 6-month contract with possible extension. You will analyze and extend a long-running z/OS accounting platform built in Enterprise COBOL and Natural/Adabas to add a new pooled account type, including sweep and reverse-sweep logic, allocation and interest apportionment, batch COBOL and JCL changes to the nightly and month-end cycles, audit trail and reconciliation controls, test and parallel-run packs, and implementation support. Candidates must live in the lower 48 states and be comfortable working Eastern time zone hours.

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of Enterprise COBOL development experience in a z/OS environment
• 5+ Years of Experience with NaturalOne
• 5+ years of JCL development and production support experience
• 3+ years of experience with financial/accounting systems development or support including double-entry posting, balance/accrual maintenance, value dating, reconciliation, and month-end closeouts in a regulated environment
• 3+ years of experience working with Adabas and VSAM
• 3+ years of experience with tracing undocumented logic through copybooks, call chains, and job streams

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with cash management, account pooling, sweeps, or treasury applications
• Experience with CA-7 scheduling and batch operations
• Experience with REXX, Python, or Java

Location and schedule:

• Remote in the lower 48 United States.
• Schedule: 40 hours per week.
• Candidates must reside in the lower 48 states (continental US) and be comfortable working EST time zone hours.

Duration and start:

• 6-month contract; projected start Tue Dec 1, 2026.
• Interviews: 1-2 rounds, virtual.

Pay: Up to $86.77/hr.
