Entech is seeking a Mainframe Developer to design, develop, and maintain COBOL/CICS/DB2 applications for a financial services client. This hybrid role requires three days onsite at Malvern, PA or Charlotte, NC, with collaboration across on-site and remote teams.

Candidate will work across the SDLC (AGILE, SCRUM, TDD, Waterfall), using JCL, and DevOps tools like JIRA and Confluence, to deliver robust mainframe solutions and support modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and maintaining mainframe applications.
• Proficient in COBOL, CICS, SQL with DB2/VSAM.
• Experienced in JCL, batch processing and DevOps tools.
• Familiar with AGILE (SCRUM), TDD and Waterfall SDLC models.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional and offshore teams.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, maintain, and test mainframe applications using COBOL Stored Procedures, CICS, and SQL accessing DB2 and VSAM.
• Proficient in JCL, PROCs, and mainframe batch processing
• Write complex SQL queries and optimize database performance.
• Debug across front end applications thru to backend processes and data
• Collaborate with Service Now for Change Management and Confluence as a Documentation Repository
• Interact with cross-functional teams and offshore development teams as needed

Entech is hiring a Mainframe Developer (Cobol, CICS, DB2, JCL) for a financial services client. This is a hybrid role that involves working onsite in Malvern, Pennsylvania or Charlotte, North Carolina (3 days per week).

Job Description

• Design, develop, maintain, and test mainframe applications using COBOL Stored Procedures, CICS, and SQL accessing DB2 and VSAM.
• Proficient in JCL, PROCs, and mainframe batch processing
• Skilled in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing database performance.
• Experience with debugging across front end applications thru to backend processes and data
• Experience with Service Now for Change Management and Confluence as a Documentation Repository
• Proficient in various SDLC models, including AGILE (SCRUM), TDD, and Waterfall
• Familiarity with DevOps practices including JIRA and Github.
• Adept at interacting with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
• Experienced in working with teams which are co-located and with remote offshore development teams.
• Experience with Endevor for Version Management
