Job summary

Infinite Computer Solutions is seeking a Mainframe Developer to design, build, test, and support secure mainframe applications for digital banking and payments. You will work in an Agile environment with a focus on reliability and performance, contributing to architecture alignment and continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with architects and the scrum team to deliver features within sprint cycles, while maintaining focus on data security, audit controls, and scalable processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years designing and developing secure mainframe-based applications.
• 5+ years experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, MQ and Db2 for z/OS.
• Ability to provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotational assignment.
• Strong client-facing skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Solution Architect and scrum team to align code with architecture.

• Participate in daily/weekly standups, code reviews, and QA walkthroughs.
• Develop sprint plans with the scrum team.
• Complete tasks within sprint timelines with high quality.

• Support design decisions with validation and prototyping of new concepts.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements to the development practice.
• Understand existing processing architecture for new projects.
• Coordinate with offshore team for reviews, documentation, and installations.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support on rotation.

You will be responsible for developing, testing, and supporting complex technical and architectural solutions for digital banking and payment processing platforms. You ll work in an Agile environment to deliver new features, enhance existing solutions, and address evolving business and market needs. This role offers an opportunity to build secure, scalable, and reliable technology that supports financial institutions and their customers.

What you will do:

• Work with Solution Architect and scrum team to ensure application code algins with the application architecture.
• Adhere to platform architecture and best practices.
• Participate in daily/weekly stand ups, code reviews, and QA walkthroughs.
• Work with scrum team in developing the sprint plan.
• Complete assigned tasks within the sprint timeline and with high quality
• You will develop a deep understanding of appropriate data & software components including conceptual data models, data flows, entity relationships, specifications, audit controls, exception and error handling, security, etc.
• Support technical design decisions through validation of technical approaches and prototyping of new concepts.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements to the development practice
• Understand the existing processing architecture and adhere to design and technical solutions for the new projects.
• Coordinate and work with offshore team, as needed, for deliverables which could include peer code review, proper documentation, and installation.
• Ability to provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotation assignment

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor s Degree or a minimum of 5 years of experience demonstrating required skills and competencies.
• 5+ years experience designing and developing secure mainframe-based applications.
• 5+ years experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, MQ and Db2 for z/OS. Nice to have REXX
• Work with scrum team in developing the sprint plan.
• Complete assigned tasks within the sprint timeline and with high quality
• Ability to provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotational assignment.
• Strong client-facing skills and experience
• 3 - 10 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing software applications and hands on experience with large scale applications at large institutions.
