The role emphasizes modern SDLC practices including AGILE/SCRUM, TDD, and DevOps tooling. Applicants should have 5+ years of experience in mainframe environments, with strong knowledge of JCL, batch processing, and Endevor.

Qualifications

Mainframe Developer (Cobol, CICS, DB2, JCL) for a financial services client. This is a hybrid role that involves working onsite in Malvern, Pennsylvania (3 days per week).

Job Description

• Design, develop, maintain, and test mainframe applications using COBOL Stored Procedures, CICS, and SQL accessing DB2 and VSAM.
• Proficient in JCL, PROCs, and mainframe batch processing
• Skilled in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing database performance.
• Experience with debugging across front end applications thru to backend processes and data
• Experience with Service Now for Change Management and Confluence as a Documentation Repository
• Proficient in various SDLC models, including AGILE (SCRUM), TDD, and Waterfall
• Familiarity with DevOps practices including JIRA and Github.
• Adept at interacting with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
• Experienced in working with teams which are co-located and with remote offshore development teams.
• Experience with Endevor for Version Management
