We are seeking a highly experienced Mainframe Developer role. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in Genesys with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex applications.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Minneapolis, MN is $110k - $120k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Perform unit, integration, and regression testing.
• Create and maintain system and user documentation.
• Work closely with business analysts and end-users.
• Ensure system reliability, security, and performance.
• Participate in system upgrades and platform migrations.
• Follow established change control and development standards.
• Assist in data conversion and interface development.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong understanding of midrange operating environments.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.

Requirements:

• Seeking experienced Programmer with 5–10 years in midrange systems development.
• Expertise in RPG400, RPG III, COBOL, or SYNON on AS/400 platform required.
• Experience with COBOL or C on DEC VAX or HP3000 platforms highly desirable.
• Develop and maintain large-scale business applications.
• Modify and enhance legacy systems to meet evolving business needs.
• Perform full software development lifecycle (SDLC) tasks.
• Emphasis on batch and high-volume transaction processing.
• Support and troubleshoot existing applications for performance and accuracy.
• Analyze business requirements and translate into technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

Preferred, but not required:

• Experience with Mainframe Developer
• Should have 5–10 years of Mainframe Developer expertise.
• Knowledge of any programming language is a plus.
