Job summary

VistalTech Inc. is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to support enterprise mainframe applications in the financial services sector. The role requires hands-on COBOL, JCL, and DB2 expertise on IBM z/OS in a production environment.

You will design, develop, and optimize batch jobs, participate in agile releases, and collaborate with analysts and cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, data integrity, and performance.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on COBOL development, maintenance, debugging, and enhancement of mainframe applications.
• Expertise in creating, modifying, and troubleshooting batch jobs and scheduling processes.
• Strong experience with DB2 databases, SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Experience with IBM z/OS and enterprise mainframe systems.
• Experience with batch execution, file handling, job monitoring, and production support.
• Ability to analyze failures, resolve abends, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or payments applications is preferred.

• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
