Job Location: New York, NY (fully onsite)

Salary : 180k per annum

Interview Mode: 1st round virtual via MS Teams, 2nd round onsite in New York, NY

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 10 or more years of experience working as a mainframe manager in a medium to large-scale enterprise environment.
• Strong expertise with mainframe technologies, including z/OS, CICS, DB2, and IMS.
• Experience overseeing system programmers or mainframe technical teams.
• Experience managing daily mainframe operations, workload distribution, scheduling, task delegation, and performance management.
• Experience planning and coordinating mainframe hardware upgrades, including processors, DASD, and VTS systems.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as OMEGAMON and SMF analytics.
• Experience supporting disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
• Knowledge of mainframe security frameworks.
• Experience collaborating with storage, network, and data center operations teams.
• Ability to drive modernization initiatives, including automation, performance tuning, and workload optimization.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong initiative, self-motivation, and ability to independently research, identify, and implement solutions.
• Excellent oral, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to document and explain technical issues clearly.
• Willingness to work after hours and weekends as needed.
