Job summary

CTG, a Cegeka company, is seeking a Mainframe COBOL Developer / Test Automation Engineer in Bakersfield, CA, for a 12-month engagement. You will analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, while designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mainframe applications.

The role requires hands-on COBOL/JCL/CICS/DB2/VSAM work in a CA-MMIS environment and automation with Selenium.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with mainframe applications.
• Proficient in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
• Experience with automated testing using Selenium.
• Healthcare claims processing knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical specs and mainframe program logic.
• Develop and maintain mainframe applications for healthcare claims processing.
• Create and execute unit, integration, system, and regression tests.
• Develop automated test scripts using Selenium.
• Identify and fix defects; support releases and quality criteria.
• Collaborate with BA, developers, testers, and other teams throughout SDLC.
• Document specifications, test results, defects, and changes.
