Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Senior Capacity Planning Engineer to join our capacity planning team. The role focuses on monitoring and analyzing mainframe resources, collecting data, and creating reports to guide capacity decisions for multiple data centers, including Jersey City/NYC, Boston, Dallas or Tampa.

The candidate should have strong SAS skills, a solid understanding of mainframe components, and proficiency with RMF, CICS, DB2, MQ, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics or statistics or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience required.
• SAS experience is required.
• Understanding of mainframe components and data sources.
• Descriptive statistics background.

Responsibilities

• Run and validate the Data Collection and Reporting process using scheduling software.
• Design basic SAS reports and edit JCL in ISPF.
• Create and update policies, job aids, and documentation.
• Learn MICS/MXG database architecture and diagnose MICS issues.
• Maintain MICS administrative tasks and validate data quality.
• Develop ad hoc reports for senior management.
