Job summary

State of Maine seeks a Hearings Representative for the Office of MaineCare Services to represent OMS in administrative appeal hearings and support compliance initiatives. The role sits in the Compliance Division reporting to the Associate Director of Compliance.

You will prepare witnesses, submit exhibits, assist with FOIA requests, and monitor relevant federal and state regulations impacting MaineCare programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public/Community Health, Health Administration, Health Sciences or Health Education; three years experience in planning, development, coordination and/or evaluation of health programs or services OR seven years equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Represent OMS in administrative appeal hearings to advocate Department actions.
• Participate in pre-hearing conferences and prepare exhibits.
• Prepare witnesses for testifying and interpret MaineCare rules; may conduct limited legal research.
• Assist with Freedom of Information Act requests and monitor current laws affecting OMS programs.
