Job summary

The State of Maine seeks a highly analytical professional to join the Office for Family Independence in Augusta to support MaineCare data operations. You will collect, validate, and analyze eligibility and program data, and produce reports and dashboards for leadership decision-making.

This role collaborates with MaineCare leadership, technology partners, and federal agencies to ensure data accuracy, drive improvements, and support statewide public assistance programs.

Qualifications

• Eight years of education, training, and/or experience analyzing, evaluating, and/or developing improvements to organizational and/or managerial systems, programs, and practices.
• Experience with MaineCare or public assistance programs is a plus.
• Strong data visualization and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, analyze, and interpret MaineCare eligibility and operational data.
• Develop reports and dashboards to support leadership decision-making.
• Identify trends, operational issues, and opportunities for program improvement.
• Support federally required reporting and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Assist with MaineCare systems modernization by documenting business requirements and collaborating with technology partners.
• Develop complex data queries and analytical reports.
• Support budget development, workload analysis, and resource planning.
• Recommend improvements to business processes and reporting methods.
• Collaborate with leadership, technology staff, vendors, and federal partners.
