Job summary

Walman Optical in Brooklyn Park, MN is hiring a Distribution Clerk (Mailroom) to manage daily mail and orders, ensuring timely pickup and delivery. You will organize routes, open mail, package shipments, and handle invoices with care.

We seek candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years in distribution/logistics, strong reading, writing and verbal skills, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years of experience working in a distribution/logistics environment.
• Good reading, writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record and knowledge of the delivery area.

Responsibilities

• Organize daily activities to ensure efficient route and satisfy delivery requirements.
• Open and sort all incoming mail and orders according to procedures.
• Package completed work for shipment in a neat, professional-appearing manner.
• Initiate DVI invoice generating sequence, sort and route completed work by best carrier.
• Match invoices and file as necessary.
• Maintain work area in a neat, clean, and organized condition.
• Follow all policies and safety rules; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Provide guidance to less experienced coworkers and attend training meetings.
