Job description

Our company includes more than 120 family-owned and operated stores. As the Mailroom Clerk you are a part of this family and critical to our success. This role is responsible for sorting and distributing US and interoffice mail.You will also prepare and process United States Postal Service, FedEx Express and FedEx Ground shipments/packages and provide front counter services for associates.

What your day will look like

·Operate computerized mailing machine, email, mail scanner, and other related software and equipment.

·Provide exceptional customer service to all customers: employees, vendors, and carriers.

·Distribute all mail to each department that is received on a daily basis.

·Expedite all packages received to the specific recipient or approved location.

·Process all outgoing mail per USPS standards.

·Secure the safety of the company by thoroughly inspecting and scanning packages.

·Prepare packages and labels for US Postal Service and FedEx shipping.

·Assist with receipt of freight shipments and processing of freight paperwork.

·Assist staff with mailing and shipping transactions.

·Process cash transactions and prepare deposits from cash drawer.

·Pick up/receive, log, sort, and deliver packages from multiple carriers and mail from US Postal Service.

·Utilize a company vehicle to pick up and deliver mail/packages to/from multiple post office locations in Columbus and to the Ohio Distribution Center.

Requirements

·Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and have superb communication and customer service skills.

·This position requires mobility throughout the building during the workday.

·Must be able to frequently lift mail containers, boxes, push carts weighing up to 50 pounds.

·Prepare packages and labels for US Postal Service and FedEx shipping.

·Have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
