Job summary

FNBO is seeking a Vendor Management Lead for Mail Services in Omaha, NE. You will oversee USPS, express couriers, and equipment vendors across lockbox and mail processing operations, driving efficiency, SLA adherence, and compliance with postal regulations.

The role requires 5+ years in banking operations or mail processing, strong vendor management, and proven contract negotiation skills. You will partner with IT, Compliance, and Operations to ensure reliable service delivery and peak-period

Qualifications

• Experience in banking operations and mail processing environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple vendors and SLAs.
• Strong knowledge of postal regulations and equipment maintenance protocols.
• Experience negotiating vendor contracts and optimizing costs.
• Excellent communication with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations with USPS, express couriers, mail pickup services, and equipment vendors across lockbox and mail processing locations.
• Manage vendor performance against SLAs including delivery schedules, pickup times, maintenance response times, and service quality.
• Coordinate USPS mail services for lockbox operations, route optimization, and postal compliance.
• Oversee DHL, FedEx, UPS for time-sensitive deliveries and ensure timely mail processing.
• Coordinate OPEX equipment maintenance, scheduling, and parts availability; monitor uptime.
• Develop mail volume forecasting models based on seasonal trends and client needs.
• Create emergency procedures and contingency plans for disruptions; coordinate repairs to minimize delays.
• Implement automated QA processes for mail handling, courier performance, and equipment reliability.
• Monitor incidents, downtime, and service disruptions and report to stakeholders.
• Analyze vendor pricing, negotiate terms, and drive cost optimization initiatives.
• Support onboarding of new clients with mail processing capacity planning and cross-functional collaboration.
