Job summary

Humana Inc. seeks a Pharmacy Technician 2 to support prescription processing, price-checking, and restocking at CenterWell Pharmacy in Phoenix, AZ. This on-site position assists the pharmacist, inputs data, and serves customers while upholding safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have <3 years of experience, an active state pharmacy license, and willingness to participate in TB screening. A High School diploma or GED is preferred, with national certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• Less than 3 years of technical experience required.
• Must have an active license with the Board of Pharmacy in the appropriate state.
• You will be part of the TB screening program that Humana/Senior Bridge runs.

Responsibilities

• Obtain new prescriptions and refill information.
• Assist Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs.
• Access, input, and retrieve prescription information from computer; refer medical questions to pharmacist.

Job description

Become a part of our caring community The Pharmacy Technician 2 obtains new prescriptions and prescription refill information. The Pharmacy Technician 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Perform computations. Typically work on semi-routine assignments. The Pharmacy Technician 2 retrieves, counts, and measures drugs. Assist Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs. Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer. Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist. May operate a cash register. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing. Follow standard practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation or independent. Use your skills to make an impact.

Required Qualifications

• Less than 3 years of technical experience
• Must have an active license with the Board of Pharmacy in the appropriate state
• You will be part of the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program that Humana/Senior Bridge runs.
• If selected for this role, we will require you to screen for TB.
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences.

Preferred:

Hours of operations Monday- Friday 4am to Midnight Overtime may be required. This is an Onsite Position: located at Riverside Distribution Facility 4302 W. Buckeye Rd. Ste. 109 Phoenix, AZ 85043 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $40,000 - $52,300 per year
