Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate on the daytime 7a–7p shift. This is a full-time, hands-on role on the bindery team where you'll learn to operate high-speed equipment, load and move materials, and inspect finished products for quality.

No bindery experience is required—we provide on-the-job training. The position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and safety on a fast-paced production floor, with overtime opportunities and comprehensive benefits after a short introductory period.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent training/experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety rules.
• Basic math and measurement reading skills.
• Comfort with operating and handling machinery on a production floor.

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into high-speed bindery machinery.
• Pack books into cartons and move materials on the floor.
• Inspect finished products against quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures and keep workspace clean.
• Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
• Perform hand operations as needed.
• Assist with setup or adjustment of equipment when training.

What You'll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We're Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem-we'll train you.

We're looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry(manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It's a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
