Job summary

Electron Energy Corporation is seeking a seasoned engineer to develop new magnet materials and processes at the Material Technology Center. You will lead cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, reliability and cost effectiveness while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role involves supervising process documentation, BOM updates, and manufacturing method development, with a focus on samarium-cobalt materials and related technologies.

Qualifications

• BS in a relevant engineering/science field and 5+ years of experience.
• Strong background in materials science, powder metallurgy, and material testing.
• Proficient with MS Office and project-tracking tools.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize new magnet production processes and materials.
• Create and update manufacturing methods and BOMs with up-to-date work instructions.
• Lead safety, configuration management, and cross-functional coordination within operations.
• Research and pilot new process technologies to improve yield, cost, and reliability.
• Provide engineering support to production teams and customers on manufacturability.
