Job summary

MP Materials in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a hands-on Technician to support the Magnet Technology group in developing advanced manufacturing technologies for high-performance rare earth permanent magnets. The Technician will perform experimental trials, operate and maintain pilot plant equipment, prepare and test materials, and document data for process development.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of operation experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with record keeping in both physical and electronic formats.
  • Strong discipline in following safety practices and standard work instructions.
  • Proven ability to work independently while also collaborating within cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain pilot plant equipment for prototyping magnets with occasional support for production operations.
  • Prepare, handle, and process raw materials, powders, and samples according to SOPs.
  • Perform measurements and collect process data using laboratory instruments.
  • Assist in pilot-scale experimental trials and provide accurate documentation of results.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace.
  • Work closely with EHS to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
