Job summary

Essex Solutions manufactures the world’s most reliable magnet wire and operates enameling lines with a focus on safety and quality. This role covers a 12-hour night shift (8pm–8am) and requires proper setup and operation of enamel lines, along with strict adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.

You will read and follow all manufacturing instructions, monitor processes, and perform start-ups and changeovers as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and following manufacturing instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow safety training and environmental requirements.
• Attention to product quality and ability to identify process issues.

Responsibilities

• This position works 12 hour shifts on a staggered schedule, 8pm-8am.
• Responsible for proper set up and operation of assigned enamel lines.
• Responsible for working in a safe and efficient manner; maintain a safe workplace by anticipating, recognizing and reporting hazards; attend required safety training and adhere to rules.
• Responsible for compliance with environmental rules and standards and attending required training.
• Responsible for the quality of the finished product; identify problems in the enameling process and complete corrective actions.
• Responsible for reading, understanding, and following all instructions including manufacturing instructions, work instructions and setup sheets.
• Responsible for monitoring machine processes and making appropriate and timely adjustments.
• Responsible for performing all team operations including start ups, changeovers, and welds.
• Responsible for monitoring payoff and take-up areas to ensure supply and proper packing with correct codes, sizes, and weights.
• Responsible for compliance with environmental policies and housekeeping; complete forms and audits as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
