Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) invites experienced registered nurses to join the Medical Surgical 6 East unit in Boston. The RN will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care on a 36-hour night schedule with every other weekend and holiday shifts.

The role requires MA RN licensure, a nursing degree (Diploma/ASN/BSN preferred), BLS, and ACLS for certain units. A supportive environment emphasizes training, development, and career growth within a Magnet-recognized system.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
• 1+ years RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS may be required for certain units.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in Medical-Surgical unit using patient-centered approach.
• Communicate with healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records and documentation.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow unit policies and contribute to quality improvement.
