Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a Nursing leader to gather, analyze, and write the initial Magnet designation materials. You will support Nursing Leadership and Senior Management by preparing policy documents and reports to secure Magnet designation.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external consultants, manage budgets, and coordinate staff training for Magnet readiness across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of nursing experience with progressive leadership and new program development/management.
• Valid RN license in the state of Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison to ANCC for Magnet application process.
• Maintains communications and records with ANCC.
• Collaborates with MedStar hospitals and consultants.
• Prepares reports for stakeholders to maintain support and buy-in for Magnet.
• Responsible for budget preparation, resource allocation and project management.
