Base pay range

$80.00/hr - $80.00/hr

Location: Washington, DC (100% REMOTE) – Must be in East Coast time zone

Bill Rate: $80/HR/HR Corp to Corp/1099

Term: 6 months Contract to Hire (Full Time)

Clearance: Must be eligible to pass a background Check

Interview Process: 2 Rounds of interview and feedback/offer within 48hours

The manager is looking for somebody who used to be a PHP Developer, and who moved up the ranked and became a Magento Architect.

This is a strategic role and will be leading 2 offshore development team and who can guide them with Magento best practices.

Looking for somebody who had PHP 6, 7, & 8 experience.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Enterprise Architect and internal resources to understand business requirements and translate them into practice on the Magento e-Commerce platform
• Provide expert level thought, leadership, and guidance on Magento as we expand our eCommerce offerings across multiple business units
• Design and build key architectural components and integrations for the Magento environment
• Work with internal and external parties to ensure any custom development is high quality and sufficiently re-usable
• Participates in the full application life cycle from technical design to development, and from testing to support
• Evaluate, recommend, improve and build existing code base to maximize efficiency of the Magento environment
• Perform code reviews on any custom code written for the Magento environment
• Integrate third-party API's and web services
• Work with DevOps to manage environments and release quality solutions
• Ensure the Magento Platform is kept up to date and secure by following best practices as defined by internal IAM
• Work with customers and other architects to implement the technology that meets the business needs
• Produce detailed design documentation, unit test plans, and well documented code artifacts
• Ensure the Magento Platform is kept up to date, backed-up, and secure by following best practices and working with Information Security to test and maintain the environment

Qualifications:

• Experience managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing Magento 2 with multi-store fronts (required)
• Experience building custom Magento modules and extending the functionality of Magento
• 5+ Experience building highly interactive, highly trafficked, database driven web applications
• Experience with eCommerce standards and regulations
• Demonstrated experience in leading development teams
• Strong PHP skills, 5-7+ years experience
• Mobile and Responsive web development
• Strong understanding of the Magento System Architecture, Design, Theming, Functionality Enhancements, Configuration
• Able to understand unique business and technical requirements of the engagement and facilitate communications on the most appropriate solution design

Education:

• Degree in Information Systems, Computer science preferred

Other Requirements:

• Architect and design the component model that will be used to construct a Digital platform for both web and mobile using Adobe Experience Manager for global enterprises
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and analytical skills required
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and presentation skills required
• Hands-on agile scrum methodology experience is a must
