Job Description:
The Network Solution Architect - Senior will support multiple IT projects, providing strategic direction and defining architectural solutions that align with business objectives. This role plays a key part in shaping future-state architecture and facilitating adoption across business areas. Acting as a visionary, the architect will assist in setting the direction for projects, build consensus, and drive solution implementation from concept to execution. With a blend of strategic foresight and tactical expertise, this role is instrumental in meeting organizational goals and pushing forward technological advancements.
Responsibilities:
Develop and present conceptual and solution architectures to senior staff, business stakeholders, and the Enterprise Architecture Review Council.
Ensure applications and servers adhere to best practices, maximizing reusability and alignment with business needs.
Act as a Change Agent, promoting enhanced methodologies and newer technologies within the team.
Lead all stages of the project life cycle, from initial kickoff through requirements analysis, design, and implementation.
Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture Review Council to secure approvals, gain insights, and ensure sustainable service and application solutions.
Drive the adoption of architectural modeling, service-oriented architecture, and enterprise information management best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; specialized training in relevant areas.
8-15 years of experience across multiple IT domains, with 5-7 years in technology architecture.
Proficiency with Network Access Control (NAC), Cisco ISE, and Cisco DNA.
Strong knowledge of EA frameworks, networking technologies, and experience in SOA and enterprise services.
Transportation industry experience preferred.
