  • Research funding possibilities and compile them into a formatted list.
  • Create grant proposals and applications using a template and boilerplate language.
  • Update proposal templates and boilerplate language as needed.
  • Keep records of the application specifics for each grant opportunity.
  • Write applications for funding in a timely manner.
  • Perform outreach to organizations for possible funding and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Build relationships with funding agencies.
  • Research award opportunities.
  • Assist with additional magazine or marketing responsibilities as needed.

Pay: $17.00 Hourly.

Organization: Fusion Theatre Company.

Position: An Off-Campus Work-Study Position – Must have a Work-Study award.

Work study eligible; 5-10 hours per week; part-time hourly position.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

Enrolled in a degree‑seeking program at UNM, at least half‑time (6 hours) for fall and spring semesters (audit hours do not count), and if on Work Study, meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Independent time management skills.
  • Strong copywriting and proof‑reading skills.
  • Willingness to work individually and as part of a group.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Interest in learning about the roles and tasks related to grant and proposal writing.
  • Tech savvy.
  • Previous experience with grant and proposal writing (work or classes).
  • Previous experience with grant application processes.
  • Preliminary knowledge of funding sources.
  • Knowledge of different writing conventions and their applications.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
