Fusion Theatre Company is seeking a Magazine Grant Proposal Writer to research and compile funding opportunities for Horizon Review, a local arts magazine. The role provides mentorship with training available, and involves writing proposals, developing boilerplate language, and outreach to funders.

As part of the Horizon Review initiative, you will help engage local artists and UNM students in fundraising efforts, with opportunities to contribute to magazine-related marketing tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a degree‑seeking program at UNM, enrolled at least half‑time (6 hours) for fall and spring semesters; Work Study eligible.
• Must have strong writing and communication skills with ability to draft grant proposals.

Responsibilities

• Research funding possibilities and compile them into a formatted list.
• Create grant proposals and applications using a template and boilerplate language.
• Update the proposal templates and boilerplate language as needed.
• Keep records of application specifics for each grant opportunity.
• Write applications for funding in a timely manner.
• Perform outreach to organizations for possible funding and sponsorship opportunities.
• Build relationships with funding agencies.
• Assist with additional magazine or marketing responsibilities as needed.
