Fusion Theatre Company is seeking a Magazine Grant Proposal Writer to research and compile funding opportunities for Horizon Review, a local arts magazine. The role provides mentorship with training available, and involves writing proposals, developing boilerplate language, and outreach to funders.
As part of the Horizon Review initiative, you will help engage local artists and UNM students in fundraising efforts, with opportunities to contribute to magazine-related marketing tasks as needed.

Position Summary:
Help research and acquire funding opportunities for operational and print costs of Horizon Review, a new local fine arts magazine under the umbrella of the nonprofit organization, Fusion – a local professional theatre and cultural & arts hub. Position is a mentorship; extensive experience is not required; training will be provided. The grant and proposal writer researches and compiles funding options, writes proposals and applications, and performs outreach to organizations.
Horizon Review’s mission is to encapsulate local stories, elevate quality art, and educate the rising generation of creative professionals. The magazine will be published annually, supported by local artists and the assistance of UNM students and beginning professionals. The organization is dedicated to community building and recognition for local artists and professionals.
Enrolled in a degree‑seeking program at UNM, enrolled at least half‑time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
