The Machinist will be responsible for operating machinery in a production environment for specific projects with limited supervision.

As a Machinist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and operating special purpose equipment, conventional (lathe and/or mill), and/or numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers for fabricating metallic and non-metallic parts, adhering to high-quality standards.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and setup requirements.
  • Starting and observing machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusting machine controls as needed.
Fuel your passion

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of machining experience.
  • Be able to select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on various machines such as mills, lathes, drill presses, and mills (floor model).
  • Be willing and able to travel up to 30% and work shifts when required.
  • Demonstrate skill on at least two machines (e.g., CNC mill, CNC lathe, manual mill, drill press, rework lathe).
  • Possess good interpersonal skills, an inclusive working style, and effective communication abilities.
