About the Role:

Our Electro-Mechanical Division (EMD) team is looking to hire Entry-Level Machinists ! Join our union team where you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of technology and support our national security. *This role is onsite at our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location, and you will be assigned to one of three shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Operation of the following machines:

  • All types of machining equipment including manual and CNC skills

  • Horizontal Boring Mills (both CNC and manual)

  • Large Vertical Boring Mills (both CNC and manual)

  • Large Turning -Vertical or Horizontal Lathes (both CNC and manual)

  • Multi axis milling and turning equipment

  • Manual and CNC grinding experience

What you Bring:

  • Five years of similar experience

  • CNC machining experience is preferred, and programming is a plus

  • Must be able to work to close tolerances on large products

  • Experience machining ferrous and non-ferrous materials required

  • High school graduate plus completion of a four-year machinist apprenticeship or equivalent

  • Must be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
