Qualifications

• Operate manual VTLs, engine lathes, mills as trained.
• Read blueprints, shop cards, and work instructions.
• Set up and position workpieces with fixtures or clamps.
• Measure finished parts with precision instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Detect defects and equipment malfunctions during operation.
• Perform routine machine care and basic lubrication.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual VTLs, engine lathes, mills and related equipment.
• Read and interpret shop cards, blueprints, sketches, and work instructions.
• Set up and position workpieces using chucks, fixtures, or clamps.
• Observe machine operation to detect defects or equipment malfunctions.
