Job summary

FM Industries in Fremont, CA is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and run complex parts on a vertical mill, with little supervision.

The position offers a swing shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM) and an hourly salary range of $31.00 to $39.00. Required: blueprint reading, GD&T, CNC programming, and tool presetting knowledge, plus 5–7 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED equivalent, or Technical School required.
• 5-7 years of work-related experience
• Extensive knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of blueprint reading, GD & T
• Extensive knowledge of accepted inspection practices
• Extensive knowledge of CNC programming and G&M code
• Extensive probe and toll pre-setter knowledge

Responsibilities

• Set up and run the most complex parts with little supervision.
• Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.
• Program, set up, and run all facets of work assigned.
• Develop fixtures as needed.
• Assist in creating an accurate set-up book for production.

Swing Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for set up and run the most complex, proven, or new parts with little to no supervision.

• Utilize shop paper procedures, including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling, and non-conformance-related activities


• Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.


• Program, set up, and run all facets of work assigned.


• Develop fixtures as needed.


• Assist in creating an accurate set-up book for production.

Qualifications:
