FM Industries is seeking a CNC Horizontal Machinist II for the Fremont, CA facility on a day shift. The role involves setting up and running repeat parts with minimal supervision, while ensuring DNC program uploads/downloads and proper routing of work orders.

You will provide technical guidance to operators and ensure product quality through precise inspection and SPC monitoring. The position aims to foster safety, integrity, and teamwork within a supportive manufacturing culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ work experience.
• Completion of Machine Tool Technology program preferred.
• Enrolled in or vocational education or four years formal apprenticeship preferred.

Day Shift: Monday thru Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

As a CNC Horizontal Machinist II, you will set-up and run repeat or proven part(s) with simple to high complexity with minimal direction from area Lead or Supervisor.

• Responsible for DNC communications upload and download tool programs
• Provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to operators and lower-level machinists as required
• Ensure an accurate router accompanies all work orders
• Inspect and measure parts to maintain statistical process controls charts

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ work experience
• Completion of Machine Tool Technology program preferred.
• Enrolled in or vocational education or four years formal apprenticeship preferred.
