Job summary

FM Industries, Inc. in Livermore, CA is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist 3 for day or swing shift. You will set up and run complex parts with minimal supervision and contribute to development of new processes.

Qualifications include vocational education or apprenticeship plus preferred Machine Tool Technology program and 5–7 years of related experience; two shift options are offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Completion of Machine Tool Technology program preferred.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years' work-related experience.

We are offering 2 Work Schedules to select from:
Day Shift - Monday thru Friday from 6:00 AM -2:30PM
or Swing Shift - Monday thru Friday from 2:00PM- 10:30 PM

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

As a CNC Lathe Machinist 3 required to set-up and run the most complex proven or new parts with little to no supervision. Will assist in the development of new processes.

• Ensure all tooling and fixture used in the CNC area is adequately designed, cost effective and procured in such a manner which supports customer deliveries and company budgets
• Manually program machines utilizing proficient knowledge of CNC controls
• Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications
• Perform first piece inspection accurately, assist in development of check sheets.

Qualifications:

• Completion of vocational education or 4 years formal apprenticeship preferred.
• Completion of Machine Tool Technology program preferred.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years' work-related experience
