Job summary

Vishay Dale Electronics in Columbus, NE is seeking a machinist to operate and tend tool room equipment, producing tooling and consumable parts from various metals. You will read blueprints, interpret specifications, and ensure products meet tight tolerances.

You will work with designers and project engineers, perform setup adjustments, and occasionally run CNC equipment to support production. A technical degree or high-school diploma with machinist experience is required.

Job Summary

Operates and tends all types of machine tool equipment such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, and surface grinders to produce tooling, fixtures, and consumable parts out of various metals, including steel, aluminum, plastics, and other non‑metals.

What You Will Be Doing

• Receives work assignments from Lead in the form of a blueprint, technical specification, drawing, or sketch to build critical tooling within the closest tolerances.
• Builds special tooling and consumable parts within specified tolerances appropriate to the level of work experience.
• May occasionally be called upon to perform production runs on CNC equipment, lathes, punch presses, milling machines, and related equipment.
• Ensures that finished products are properly documented and prepared for timely delivery to the customer with all necessary documentation.
• Works directly or indirectly with Designer or Project Engineer as required.
• Adjusts or repairs equipment as necessary.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring Along

• Technical degree/certification or high‑school diploma with prior machinist experience.
• Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations.
• Proficiency in accurately interpreting specifications from blueprints and bills of materials.
• Prior production experience.
