Job summary

Vishay Dale Electronics in Columbus, Nebraska is seeking a Die Technician for the 1st shift (Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm) to operate and maintain tooling equipment and perform die work to support production processes. Overtime may be available as needed.

Responsibilities include machine tool operation, tooling changes, tolerances inspection, and minor repairs. Technical certification and/or 1–3 years machinist experience are preferred, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Technical certification and/or 1–3 years machinist experience.
• Ability to read, write and perform arithmetic calculations.
• Prior production experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operates all types of machine tool equipment such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, and surface grinders to produce tooling fixtures.
• Troubleshoots and changes out tooling in precision stamping dies as needed.
• Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances.
• Makes adjustments or repairs to equipment as necessary.
• Identifies to Supervisor or Lead-person any specification, equipment, or material shortcomings.
• Performs other various tasks as directed from the Supervisor.
