Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Columbus, NE is seeking a Die Technician to support machining and die work in a fast-paced production environment. You will operate machine tool equipment, inspect tolerances, and adjust tooling under supervision to maintain quality and output.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule (7:00am–3:30pm), occasional overtime, and a path to contribute to a global manufacturer of resistors and related electronic components. Prior machinist experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Technical certification or 1–3 years machinist experience.
• Ability to read, write and perform arithmetic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Operates machine tool equipment (lathes, drill presses, milling machines, surface grinders) to produce tooling fixtures.
• Troubleshoots and changes out tooling in dies as needed.
• Checks and inspects machining operations against tolerances.
• Makes adjustments or repairs to equipment as necessary.
• Identifies specification, equipment, or material shortcomings to Supervisor or Lead-person.
• Performs other tasks as directed by Supervisor.

Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech? Vishay Dale Electronics - Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for a Die Technician (Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm). Overtime is available as needed. Responsible for performing machining and die work to help enhance and enable the production processes for Vishay.

Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology. There are around 600 employees currently working in Columbus, NE. We are one of the largest employers in the Columbus Area.

What you will be doing:

Operates all types of machine tool equipment such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, and surface grinders to produce tooling fixtures.

Troubleshoots and changes out tooling in precision stamping dies as needed.

Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances.

Makes adjustments or repairs to equipment as necessary.

Identifies to Supervisor or Lead-person any specification, equipment, or material shortcomings.

Performs other various tasks as directed from the Supervisor.

What you will bring along:

Technical Certification and/or 1 to 3 years machinist experience

Ability to read, write and perform arithmetic calculations.

Prior production experience is desirable
