Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Prescott, AZ is seeking an experienced Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines. You will work with engineers and programmers to edit and adjust parts to blueprints and work orders. The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of machining experience, can read drawings, understands G and M codes, and can work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. ITAR/EAR compliance required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency certified required.
• 5-8 years or more of Machining background and/or experience in a machine shop.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Set Up and operates CNC lathes and/or Milling machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
• Work with Engineers and Programmers to make edits and adjustments to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications.
• Operate more than one machine in a cellular environment.
• Inspect work for dimensional features and ensure quality and quantity per company requirements.
• Maintain area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, safe condition and complete paperwork accurately.

About The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Machinist. You will have the opportunity to work with an inspiring team of experienced Machinists and Engineers.

Location

Prescott Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Set Up and operates CNC lathes and/or Milling machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
• Work with our Engineers and Programmers to make all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches.
• The ability to operate more than one machine in a cellular environment is required.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.
• Inspects work for all dimensional features as required.
• Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.
• Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc. According to Company policy.
• Performs duties always exercising good machining practices.
• Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, safe, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.
• Maintains coolant tanks and fills as necessary.
• Trains, guides, and assists other employees as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency certified required.
• 5-8 years or more of Machining background and/or experience in a machine shop.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of G and M Codes.
• Able to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Troubleshooting Skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Working Conditions

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
