Job summary

RBC Bearings in Franklin, Indiana, is seeking a Machinist II to join our manufacturing team in a high mix, low volume environment. You will work under the Operations Supervisor at an FAA Repair Station, performing repair machining and tooling production, with a focus on safety and precise results.

The role requires reading blueprints, operating manual mills and lathes, and developing Acu-Rite CNC programs. Candidates should be reliable, detail oriented, and able to communicate effectively with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years’ experience with hand tools.
• 3 years' experience with manual mills and lathes with Acu-Rite mill power CNC retrofit.
• Ability to read engineering blueprints and approved technical data.
• Ability to write and prove out programs for Acu-Rite CNC mill retrofit.
• Must read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Safety is always first and maintained.
• Operate manual mills and lathes; produce tooling and fixtures.
• Use inspection tools to verify parts meet drawings.
• Ensure PMs are completed and equipment is safe.
• Polish and blend products; ensure quality standards.
• Build inspection fixtures under guidance of Level III Bench Mechanic.
