Job summary

Niron Magnetics, Inc. is seeking a Machinist II to program, set up, and operate CNC and manual machines focusing on vertical milling with HAAS controls. You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and R&D to ensure precision parts for prototypes and production builds.

Responsibilities include magnet processing, assembly, and documentation of production data, with emphasis on safety and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or related technical experience.
• Experience operating manual and/or CNC machine tools.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow technical work instructions.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment used to manufacture permanent magnets and magnet assemblies.
• Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Verify dimensional compliance using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and other inspection equipment.
• Perform tool changes, machine adjustments, and routine preventive maintenance activities.
• Assemble magnetic components using fixtures, adhesives, and mechanical hardware.
• Package finished products according to quality and shipping requirements.
• Document production results, process observations, and quality data.
