Job summary

Niron Magnetics, Inc. is seeking a Machinist Lead for the 2nd shift to guide the machining team on the production floor.

You will set up and program CNC and manual equipment, while coaching machinists, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery of components critical to our iron nitride magnet production. You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, R&D, and first‑shift operations to resolve issues, improve processes, and maintain precise tolerances on magnets, fixtures, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant machining experience.
• Ability to read drawings and apply GD&T and inspection requirements.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment.
• Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and coaching skills.
• Willingness to work second shift and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Lead second‑shift machining and ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
• Set up, program, adjust, and operate CNC and manual machines.
• Coach machinists on safe operation and standard work.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T; verify parts with inspection tools.
• Identify and drive improvements to tooling, fixtures, and processes.
