Job summary

Niron Magnetics seeks a hands-on Machinist Lead for 2nd shift to drive safe, efficient operation of our machining and finishing processes. You’ll set up, program, troubleshoot, and run CNC and manual equipment while coaching a team and meeting daily safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.

You’ll work closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and R&D, serving as the primary machining resource on the second shift. This role rewards hands-on leadership and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• CNC and manual machining experience, including programming and adjustments.
• Ability to read drawings and apply GD&T and inspection requirements.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment.
• Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and coaching skills.
• Strong organization, judgment, and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills; able to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet.
• Available for second shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead second-shift machining and allocate work based on priorities.
• Set up, program, and operate CNC and manual equipment.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T; verify with inspection tools.
• Troubleshoot processes and implement improvements.
• Ensure safety, quality, traceability, and shift handoffs.
