Position Overview

dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6:00AM-2:30PM) Machinist II-CNC based in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist II-CNC is responsible for performing machine setups, tool changes, and adjusting as necessary.

Salary

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $23/hr - $30/hr and mandatory overtime as needed.

Sign-on Bonus

$2,000 Sign‑on Bonus (details provided during interview).

What You Will Do

• Follow operation instructions; operate machine according to standard operating instructions.
• Document and inspect quality of work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP).
• Use micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and comparators.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Extensive experience operating, setting up, tool changes, etc.
• Understanding of shop math & blueprint reading/comprehension Geometric Dimensional and Tolerance (GD&T).
• Ability to perform advanced quality inspections.
• Professional communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Use close vision, with or without correction.
