Job summary

Moog is seeking a Machinist II for the 2nd shift (2:00pm-10:30pm) at the Torrance, CA aerospace plant. The role requires setting up and operating CNC and manual machines, interpreting detailed blueprints, and ensuring high-precision parts with gear-related geometry.

You will collaborate with programming and engineering and strive for efficient, safe production. Preferred candidates have 3+ years of CNC experience, familiarity with Gleason and Okuma equipment, and strong math and measurement

Qualifications

• 3 years or more of CNC machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T symbols.
• Strong math skills and gear geometry knowledge.
• Experience with CNC programming and editing G-code/M-code is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate two or more manual or CNC machines.
• Plan sequence of operation and optimize tooling.
• Perform various machining operations on Okuma lathes and milling centers.
• Inspect work with micrometers, calipers, and GD&T blueprints to ensure quality.
• Assist programming with error resolution and tool offsets.
