Job summary

RENA Technologies North America is seeking a Machinist I in Albany, OR to perform a range of precision machining tasks in a standard production environment. You will operate manual lathes and mills, interpret blueprints, and verify tolerances with inspection tools, while following safety guidelines.

Applicants should have a 2-year technical degree (preferred), 3 years of manual machining experience, own machinist tools, and familiarity with SolidWorks and Mastercam.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of Machinist I.
• Experienced with non-standard set-ups.

• Understand cutting speeds, feeds, and blade selection.
• Verify part accuracy against drawings using inspection tools.
• Perform basic quality control measurements.
• Work with SolidWorks 3D files.
• Work with Mastercam.
• All other tasks assigned.

Job description

• Ability to perform all the duties of a Machinist I.
• Experienced with non-standard set-ups.
• Proficient at operating a manual lathe including but not limited to single point threading and operating a manual mill.
• Must be proficient at the fundamentals of cutting - speeds and feeds, blade selection, etc.
• Verify accuracy of machined parts against blueprints or engineering drawings by measuring with inspection tooling and gauges.
• Ability to perform basic quality control measurements and inspections on machined parts.
• Proficient at Solidworks software with the ability to manipulate 3D solid part files.
• Proficient at Mastercam software.
• All other tasks assigned.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
