Job summary

NextDeavor is seeking a Machinist 1 to produce precision metal and nonmetal parts on conventional and CNC equipment. You will work onsite on first shift (5:00 AM – 1:30 PM) with manufacturing, inspection, and assembly teams to meet schedules and tolerances.

Responsibilities include setting up machines, loading NC programs, inspecting parts with calipers and micrometers, and maintaining equipment. ESD controls and routine maintenance are required.

Qualifications

• Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and setup requirements.
• Set up and operate conventional and CNC lathes, turret lathes, engine lathes, mills, and other shop equipment to fabricate parts.
• Calculate and set machine controls and edit NC programs as required.
• Inspect finished workpieces using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges; verify conformance to specs.

Responsibilities
