Job summary

NORD Gear Corporation is seeking a Machinist I to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and producing high-quality components using various machine tools such as machining centers, lathes, and mills.

We require candidates to have at least a high school diploma and preferably two years of machining experience, including knowledge of CNC programming. Responsibilities

• Perform daily operator maintenance on machine tools.
• Perform housekeeping of the general work area.
• Be an active participant in the company’s suggestion, quality, efficiency and cost‑saving programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical degree preferred.
• Experience: Two years of machining experience is preferred; experience with CNC is also preferred.
• Skills and Key Attributes: Strong organizational and mathematical skills required; knowledge and experience in programming, tuning, and milling essential. Excellent communication skills, self‑motivation, and the ability to work in a team environment also necessary.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; ability to stand and move around for 8–12 hours per day.

Join our team as a Machinist I! In this role, you will use blueprints, routings, and work instructions to set up and produce high‑quality components on a variety of machine tools, including machining centers, lathes, mills, grinders, keyseaters, and drills. Monday–Thursday, 4:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
