Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Machinist I for 1st shift (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM) to operate a variety of machine tools and fabricate precision components from blueprints and sketches.

The role requires reading tolerances, basic shop math, and the ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs. Training may be provided; 0–2 years of experience with CNC, lathe, and milling is a plus. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 0–2 years machining experience.
• Familiarity with CNC, lathe and manual machines is a plus.
• Able to read blueprints and perform basic shop math.

Responsibilities

• Operate drill press, lathe, milling machine, CNC and other tools.
• Fabricate machined components from blueprints and drawings.
• Perform shop calculations for tooling feeds and speeds.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, dial indicators, calipers.
• May program machines and work with lead to meet schedules.
• Follow safety and quality procedures.
