Job summary

Oerlikon Additive Manufacturing in Huntersville, NC is hiring a Machinist I for the 2nd shift to execute production orders and operate CNC and manual machining equipment. You will read blueprints, inspect parts, and maintain a safe, organized work area in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

The role supports production for aerospace, defense, oil & gas, and semiconductors with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of CNC machining processes or willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up machines (CNC, manual lathes, mills, grinders, etc.).
• Operate machines under supervision to perform basic cutting, drilling, grinding, threading, and milling tasks.
• Read blueprints and work from detailed drawings and specifications.
• Inspect parts for quality and tolerances using basic measurement tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow standard operating procedures for machining and safety.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
