Job summary

Oatey Company, located in Shakopee, MN, seeks a dedicated CNC Operator to fabricate metal components via manual machining and CNC operations in a production setting.

You will run multiple CNC machines, operate band saws and drills, and perform milling/boring/grinding tasks based on work orders and drawings, using precision instruments to maintain tight tolerances. Requires blueprint reading, inspection skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Proficient in part inspection, including calipers, bore gauges, thread gauges, and micrometers.
• Familiarity with CNC controllers.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Team player.
• Strong communication skills (written and oral).
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of ISO9001 and LEAN.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Fast learner.

Responsibilities

• Run multiple CNC machines simultaneously, efficiently running parts through the equipment.
• Operate band saws, drill presses, and other manual machining equipment.
• Perform machining operations for milling, boring, grinding, lathe.
• Create product based on work orders and drawings.
• Use precision measuring instruments to maintain tight tolerances.
• Complete reports, issue material to work order as required, file prints.
• Other duties as assigned.
