Join to apply for the Machinist I role at Brentwood Water & Wastewater

We have an immediate opening for a Machinist I in Reading, PA. Hours are 6:30am – 3:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Position Summary

Sets up and operates conventional and special purpose metalworking machines to fabricate metal and nonmetallic parts. Builds and services progressive punch & dies, collaborates on process and tooling improvements, and performs related duties to meet organizational needs.

Essential Job Functions

• Mastery of building tooling for thermoforming, punch press operations, and dies.
• Interprets blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine dimensions and setup requirements.
• Selects and secures tools and fixtures, operates various machining equipment, and welds as needed.
• Coordinates with team members to ensure proper process execution, builds and repairs tooling, and manages procurement of tooling.
• Operates machines, inspects finished work, and verifies conformance to specifications.
• Assembles parts, may operate forklifts and cranes, and completes necessary documentation.
• Collaborates with engineers and production staff to resolve machining issues and maintains safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical degree with 2-4 years related experience, or equivalent.
• Preferred training in Precision Machining, CNC, or related fields; familiarity with Solidworks, Mastercam, and machining equipment.
• Knowledge of GD&T, ANSI standards, and safety certifications.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, perform precise measurements, and solve problems.
